The Gilberto Mora Jersey Lineup
Mora is 17. He was the youngest player at the 2026 World Cup, and when he walked out against South Africa in the opening match at 17 years and 240 days, he became the youngest footballer ever to play for Mexico at a World Cup. The record he broke belonged to Manuel "Chaquetas" Rosas and had stood since 1930. It lasted 96 years.
That is the reason this collection exists in the shape it does. Most player pages carry one badge. This one carries two, because Mora is both a Mexico international and still, for now, a Club Tijuana player. He wears 11 for the national team and 19 for the Xolos. Both namesets are here.
The Mora Mexico 2026 Kits
adidas built the Mexico World Cup 2026 range around two different arguments. The home shirt returns El Tri to a deep green for the first time since 2022 and lays bold geometric linework over it, drawn from the 1998 World Cup shirt originally made by ABA Sport. "SOMOS MÉXICO" sits inside the collar, and the kit pairs with white shorts and red socks to complete the flag.
The away goes the other way. A white base carries embossed patterns taken from grecas, the stepped motifs found on Mesoamerican temples and in traditional Mexican art, with dark green and red trim on the V-neck and cuffs. The adidas Trefoil sits on the right chest, its first appearance at a World Cup in 36 years. The Mora Authentic Match Away is built with CLIMACOOL+ and a transfer knit jacquard fabric in a slim, on-field cut. The black third has been the collection's runaway seller and is currently sold out here in both the 2026 Authentic and the 25/26 Stadium builds.
The Gold Cup Patch Is the Point
The two 24/25 Mora shirts carry Gold Cup 2025 patches, and that patch is not decoration. Mora made his senior Mexico debut at that tournament, becoming the youngest player ever to represent the country, then started the final as Mexico won it. By most accounts that made him the youngest player ever to win a senior international trophy.
The green Authentic Away uses the snake from the Mexican coat of arms as an all-over scale pattern; the multicolor home is the eagle-feather design. If you want one shirt that dates his arrival, it is one of these two.
The Xolos Side: Charly, and a Hairless Dog
Mora is a product of the Club Tijuana academy, where his father Gilberto Sr., a former Liga MX player, works as a youth coach. He has more than 50 senior appearances for the border club and signed a three-year deal to stay, despite interest from Europe.
The Charly 25/26 away is a clean white base with the Xolos crest and BBVA MX patch, built with Charly's DRY FACTOR fabric. The 24/25 third is the one collectors ask for: a Metzican collaboration with a Xoloitzcuintle across the front panel, its left ear shaped into the Arco de la Revolución, and a necklace carrying the number 333, a CECUT pendant and the Torre de Agua Caliente.
Xolos is short for Xoloitzcuintle, the ancient Mexican hairless dog on the club crest. There are not many Liga MX shirts that tell you this much about a city.
