The underlying platform is the same - the Mercurial Superfly and Vapor chassis. The difference is in the exclusive colorways (like the new purple design), custom KM branding, and signature details that aren't available in the standard Nike Mercurial lineup.
Nike Mercurial boots tend to run narrow and snug. If you're between sizes or have a wider foot, going up a half size is usually a good idea. The knit upper does offer some give once broken in, but the initial fit should be snug without painful pressure points.
FG/MG builds are designed to handle both natural grass and modern artificial turf surfaces. For dedicated turf-only play, the TF version will give you better traction and comfort on synthetic fields, but the FG/MG option works well if you switch between surface types.

On the Elite versions of the Grand Purple edition, Nike used a three-quarter-length Air Zoom unit, an integrated speed cage, tri-star studs and a Gripknit toe, plus a Flyknit ankle on the Superfly. The Superfly 10 Academy has a heel Air Zoom unit, a NikeSkin upper with embedded chevrons and a Dynamic Fit collar, while the Jr. Club FG/MG pairs a synthetic upper with a hybrid FG/MG plate.
The Melon Tint Superfly 10, released in October 2025, carries the line "Sans risques il n'y a pas de victoire", or "Without risk there is no victory", inside the lining, and this collection includes the Jr. Superfly 10 Academy in that colorway. Nike followed it with an Air Max-inspired Superfly 10 in February 2026 and a gold Nike Mercurial Superfly 11 in August 2026 that honored his World Cup record; neither is in this collection.
